2 nd COHORT - Intergenerational Ambassadors of Environmental Sustainability (IAES) CALL FOR APPLICATION

Overview
We call for youngsters and parents, grandparents or mentors willing to use their voices to advocate for
climate Justice, to participate in this program and become Intergenerational Ambassadors of
Environmental Sustainability (IAES) in Togo.
Twenty (20) kids and Twenty (20) parents, grandparents or mentors will be selected and trained on climate
advocacy. The pairs (Kid+parents, kid+grandparents or kid+mentors) who will be elected as
Intergenerational Ambassadors of Environmental Sustainability (IAES) will work on climate advocacy in
Togo for one year.

Advantages
1. Receive high quality training on climate change and strategies to combat climate change, namely
climate advocacy, use of digital space for climate communication
2. Improve your communication skills and public speaking
3. Improve your leadership skills
4. Participate in dinners with the prominent leaders working in leadership, climate action and
sustainable development in the public and private sectors in Togo
5. Become a member of a network of kids and parents seeking for climate justice around the world
6. Participate in the various conferences, debates, table rounds and a range of sustainable development
initiatives.
7. Visit firms, industries and meet with climate practitioners proposing climate Smart solutions in
Togo.

Participation requirements
To be eligible to this call, you must:
1. Be a Togolese or expected to live in Togo for the next upcoming one year.
2. Be a kid between 7 to 17 years old with the ability to speak, understand French or local languages
(EWE and/or KABYE).
3. Be a parent, grandparent or a mentor for kids and you are older than 25 years old by the time of the
application close, with the ability to speak, understand and write in one of these languages: French
or local languages (EWE and or KABYE).
4. Application of a pair of family members such as Kid+Mother or Kid+Father or Kid+grandparent is
warmly recommended especially for candidates residing outside of greater Lomé (This application
is open to all regions of Togo).
5. Application of a pair of school Kid+Teacher is also warmly recommended.
